Grass Routes : Booking Conditions
Essential information you need to know when booking a Grass Routes Journey.
Please ensure you have read and understand the style of travel, itinerary and terms and conditions outlined below. In booking with us you are bound by these conditions.
Reserving your Space
To reserve your Grass Routes journey you are required to complete the booking form and make a deposit (both will be emailed to you). Once you revert this form and we receive the necessary deposit (amount will vary according to the journey) your booking is confirmed.
Please Note: Failure to pay the deposit with 30 days from the date of request will render your booking ineffective.

Passport and Visa
You are responsible for arranging and must be in possession of, a valid passport and visa. Find out the address of an Indian Consulate near you here.
Travel Insurance is compulsory for all travellers throughout the duration of their Grass Routes journey. Insurance must include comprehensive medical and emergency evacuation. You will need to verify your travel insurance details with our Grass Routes Local Leader on arrival. Read more about insurance here.
Changes to the Itinerary
In the interests of our travellers safety Grass Routes reserves the right to change the itinerary during unavoidable circumstances such as strikes and natural or political disturbances.
Cancellation by You
Should you choose to cancel a booking, Grass Routes must be notified in writing or by email. The following cancellation fees apply:
• More that 60 days before departure, 50% loss of deposit
• Less than 60 days before departure, loss of deposit
No refund will be made should you voluntarily leaving a journey early.
Cancellation by Grass Routes
In the unlikely event Grass Routes cancels a journey, notification will be given no less than 60 days before the departure date and will return your deposit in full. Grass Routes are not liable for any other money paid, including flight ticket purchases. Please note this excludes cancellations due to conditions outside Grass Routes control such as war, natural disaster, political instability, etc. If such an event occurs Grass Routes is not liable and you will need to make a claim on your travel insurance.
Pre Departure Information
Detailed pre-departure information is available online or on request to all travellers and will immediately be forwarded on receipt of your booking deposit. Grass Routes is based within the community we operate so you can be assured the information and resources you receive from us is up to date and comprehensive. Travelling in India requires patience, understanding and flexibility. Our journeys sometimes change to accommodate local seasons and circumstances. We will not always be able to advise you in advance and we ask for your patience and understanding. Grass Routes reserves the right to amend the itinerary, mode of transport and type of accommodation in case of unavoidable circumstances.
Grass Routes operates journeys in India where the standard of accommodation, transport, safety, hygiene, medical facilities, telecommunications, infrastructure and other factors may not be of the same standard you would expect at home. In booking with Grass Routes you are accepting these conditions.
Fitness and ability
Travellers must be fit and able to participate in the activities outlined in their chosen journey. We stress that some of the accommodation and transport we use is not as you would find on a conventional tour package and as such some of our journeys can be physically demanding. If you have any physical or medical conditions that may limit your ability to participate fully in our activities, please consult us prior to booking.
